Scrap high-speed trains, don’t raise NI

I write after reading in a national newspaper on June 2nd that Mr Milliband plans to raise National Insurance to fund the NHS.

The people of this country pay enough National Insurance as it is to help pay for and qualify for their pensions (44 years). Why does he not suggest scrapping the H.S2 train costing for a start £50b. all for an extra 40 minutes off the journey to London, not forgetting the destruction of land and villages and people’s lives.

Also, why does he not propose to stop giving our money to other countries when some of them say they don’t want it but we give it to them anyway? India has more millionaires in its country than we do but it still takes the money, some of it going on space research while its people are starving and homeless.

All this money, £50b. and the billions we also give could be spent on the NHS to help in its survival and give us a better service, more trained nurses and better equipment. Think about it Mr Milliband and stop robbing the poor to give to the rich.
