Poem: Proud Pendle

So handsome in your prime,

What a lovely silhouette.

You have stood the pace of time.

The fiery flame of sunset

Surrounds your every curve.

You stand so proud and beautiful

For all who see you serve.

O, Pendle in the sunset

A tired heart you lift,

You are an inspiration

A very special gift,

With the sunset at night behind you

And myths and legends too

The sunset is so beautiful

But nothing without you.
