Parking fines: traffic warden turns ‘blind eye’?
Earlier this year, with my valid blue badge, I parked behind the last car in a disabled bay, which was full, in York Street. This put me just into the loading area. When I returned to my car 10 minutes later, there was a parking fine packet on my windscreen.
My letter of protest and explanation made no impression on the powers-that-be and I paid the £30 fine – the first in 58 years of driving experience.
