Nothing changes our use of plastic carrier bags
Since then I can honestly say precious little has changed. Our local supermarkets can’t hand them out fast enough, apart from Lidl who make a very small charge, and the majority of our other shops also continue to churn them out.
Until individuals are prepared to make some effort and supermarkets and shops address the issue seriously, we will continue to contaminate the soil and waterways. We seem to be able to cope with remembering our credit cards and money, so why not a reusable bag?
