MP should sort out his own problems first

I read the article with interest in the Burnley Express regarding the state of Bank Hall ward in Burnley.

I found it interesting that our MP, Gordon Birtwistle, was posing for photos and expressing his displeasure at the ward councillors of Bank Hall.

On that very same day I enjoyed a walk around Clowbridge and up to the Singing Ringing Tree at Crown Point. This is a fantastic viewpoint overlooking Burnley and the Tree itself is something we can be proud of.

However, I was disgusted by the state of the car park. The litter was absolutely disgusting. There was also graffiti all over the over-flowing bins.

Crown Point is in the Coal Clough and Deerplay ward of which none other than Gordon Birtwistle is a councillor. I think Mr Birtwistle would do better to ensure his own ward is in good order before he starts throwing his weight around in other wards.
