LETTER: Residents should be asked how to spend Lottery cash
Gannow had a 100% cut in its youth services when the professional youth workers were removed from Gannow Community Centre, depriving the centre not only of the youth workers with all their expertise but also the resources that go with having council workers.
Lancashire County Council has paid out £42m. in redundancies. The huge loss of staff has to have an impact on frontline services; we know there have been huge cuts in social care. Unemployment is at a record high, especially youth unemployment.

Hide AdI am pleased the “Lottery chiefs” have recognised Gannow is suffering.
I hope all the residents in Gannow are fully consulted on how they would like the money spent. There are many voluntary groups in Gannow that should also be fully consulted.
