LETTER: £100 stolen from cash machine
I HOPE the person who took £100 from a cash machine outside the Tesco store in Clitheroe just after 6pm on Saturday enjoyed spending it.
I had a momentary lapse of concentration and, after putting my bank card back into my wallet, I forgot to collect my cash. When I returned to the machine it had, of course, vanished and had not been handed in at the store, although the lady I spoke to said she believed 90% of their customers would have done so!
Sign of the times I suppose and a very costly lesson learned on my part.
