LETTER: Postmaster is our unsung hero

We talk of unsung heroes for many different reasons.

We think Rosehillhas its own unsung hero in Steven Harvey, the Rosehill Postmaster who, with his team of helpers, is constantly raising money to help cancer sufferers.

He has recently raised £5,000 by collecting people’s loose coins for what he called the Penny Trail. Previously he raised £32,000 through a sale of books and goods donated by the public.

As a local hairdresser whose young wife died from breast cancer, and as a parent who lost her daughter from the same disease, we would like to say well done Steven, and to personally call him our unsung hero.
