LETTER: Pat on back for Burnley’s flowers
THE head of Parks and Green Spaces, Mr Simon Goff, and his team have made a tremendous difference to Burnley this season, starting with bulb displays in spring and following on with beautiful floral displays throughout the town and parks.
In particular, it was marvellous again to see a wonderful display of wild flowers behind Parliament Street. If any readers have not yet seen this display we would encourage them to go as soon as possible before it fades. It would be wonderful if this could be repeated throughout the town on some of our other vacant sites. This Trust would like to express to Mr Goff and his team our great appreciation for all their efforts, especially while struggling with a reduced workforce. Our spirits are raised as a result!
