LETTER: Great night as part of Preston Guild celebrations
May I say thank you for the tickets to “The Spirit of ‘42 Ball” which I won in your recent competition.
The event was held in the Big Top in Avenham Park as part of the Preston Guild celebrations, and what a splendid evening it was.
There must have been almost 1,000 guests, most of whom dressed the part in 1940s’ costume, and we danced the night away to a swing band after enjoying a “wartime meal”. It was wonderful. Thank you.
