LETTER: Bus signs help elderly

ONCE again the elderly are losing out.

I refer to the removal of the electronic bus timetables in the bus station. Do the powers that be who make these decisions realise these signs are very helpful to the elderly who find it difficult to see the printed time table: they explain the bus time, stand number, they are clear and easy to read.

They say we should use new technology, such as smart phones or the internet – the people who have this kind of technology probably don’t use the buses.

Please, please re-think this money-saving scheme – and think of the older people who need this facility.
