LETTER: Burnley FC fans are proud of Jay Rodriguez
I think I speak for many Clarets fans who are happy about the rave reviews “one of our own” Jay Rodriguez is getting at the moment.
Obviously it was a wrench when he left Turf Moor last summer but he always gave me the impression he had a great talent and a good future in the game.
It was noticed when the season started that Jay was finding it difficult. He wasn’t playing regularly and his confidence wasn’t particularly high. But he seems to have found another level since the sacking of Nigel Adkins and new manager Mauricio Pochettino coming in. His confidence is sky high and people are saying he can go even higher than the level he is at now.
Everybody is thrilled for him and the thing is he’s a Burnley lad and, more importantly, he’s a Claret!
