I paid for Royal Mail Xmas party!
It put a smile on my face, or should I say a cynical smirk, to read the article headed “Royal Mail delivers a special Christmas treat” in the Nelson Leader. I am not in the least surprised the Royal Mail could afford to throw such a party.
We received a card through our door from the Royal Mail saying they had a “package” that could not be delivered to the house but could be redeemed from the depot at a cost of £1.20.
On paying I was given a red envelope with a first class stamp on.
A Christmas card from my nephew in Cumbria wishing us a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
The Royal Mail did not pay for the party at the ACE Centre, I did.
