Hippodrome’s superstar did not disappoint
Shortly after becoming a Christian I went to see the new film “Jesus Christ Superstar” written by Tim Rice with music by Andrew Lloyd-Webber.
It was a whole new expression of Jesus’ story and I loved it. I saw the film three times, I bought the LP, I have the video and DVD.
My sister treated me to the stage show in Manchester and when she phoned me and asked me if I wanted to go to the Hippodrome production I was a bit apprehensive as it was amateur. Everything about it was good. They were all good in their parts. The dancing, singing and acting were brilliant. The music was good and the stage presentation was excellent.
Well done to everyone who took part. I like how you introduced scripture as well - an added bonus I think.
