Great care on the NHS after having a stroke

Just over a month ago, my wife was struck down with a massive stroke, leaving her with no movement or feeling all down her right hand side and with loss of speech.

She was rushed to the Royal Blackburn Hospital, to the A&E department. After five weeks in there she was transferred to Pendle Community Hospital, Nelson, where she still is.

I want to thank all the nurses and staff at Blackburn Hospital for the skill and care they gave my wife during her stay there. I think if it was not for their prompt action and skillful nursing, my wife would not be here now. Also, I would like to thank the people at the other end of the 999 call and the fast and skillful way the ambulance team did their job. My wife, like I said, is now in Pendle Community Hospital and the care she is having is second to none.

Thank you ever so much to everyone involved in helping my wife on the hopeful road to recovery.
