Duplicity over pit closure hit list
How remarkable to find out now - 30 years after the miners’ strike - that all along, there was actually a hit list of 75 pits earmarked for closure.
How much more remarkable that hardly any of us are surprised to hear that despite her denials and vociferous prattlings about “protecting democracy” (as she ruthlessly employed all the might her high and favoured positions allowed) Mrs T and her team knew there was such a list but were so ashamed of it, they hid it from the voters they so wished to protect, for the next 30 years.
