Do we need full-time borough council chief exec?
I would like to know why, according to Burnley Council, all the redundancies they made, both white collar and outdoor workers, were due to cutbacks to save money.
Not forgetting the cutbacks to public services.
Surely it does not need Mr Rumbelow and his deputy to be on a full-time job when half the staff are gone. In my opinion, they should do the job on a part-time basis, showing their commitment to saving money.
Mr Rumbelow should lead by example.
