Deception, delusion and denial in politics
This situation may be explained in part by the fact the highest echelons of all the parties are largely populated by people possessed of the very best education – and connections – money can buy.
This cloistered and privileged upbringing appears to be blinding them to the evidence that the country is sliding toward plutonomy, with a new oligarchy ensuring that, never in the field of human endeavour, was so much paid by so many to so few.

Hide AdThe political parties, along with most of the mainstream media, are willing contributors to this unfolding catastrophe.
They have sought to hide their culpability behind the spin of “empowering people” and the vacuous mantra of supporting “aspiration” and being “on the side of hard-working families”.
The silence on this issue from representatives of the Conservative, Labour and Liberal Democrat Parties locally speaks volumes.
Either they are completely clueless to what is happening or recognise the situation but are content to say nothing in order to put party before people.
How can anyone in their right mind cast a vote for representatives of parties that are failing us?
