Cold winters are putting off beggars

My one and only comment is that the poet is painfully right.

I live far north in Sweden, in Umeå, and even this far north I feel the city is full of beggars who have made the trip here specifically to beg. They have even started knocking on doors asking for money! Thankfully though, our cold winters seem to make life at home bearable for them.

The situation does raise the question what, if anything, the politicians are going to do about it, not only here in Sweden but in the EU as a whole.
