Children denied their Olympic sports legacy
Sport for All was the Olympic clarion call. Unfortunately, it did not include the children of Rosegrove, Lowerhouse and Sycamore.
We now hear that Lancashire County Council wants to sell the last remaining sizeable piece of flat land in this area, thus denying the children of facilities to play sport on a weekly basis. From this we may conclude the encouragement to take exercise to avoid obesity and lead a healthy life is all very irrelevant.
