Can you help with mill query?
My grandmother’s brother, Willie Derbyshire, had an old mill building in the Cotton Tree area of Colne during the war. My dad said he made good money producing cloth for uniforms but the mill was very old.
I expect, if it was so decrepit, it will have been pulled down now. I remember Willie and Ethel and their daughter Florence Blackburn from my childhood. We visited Florence at Trawden not long before she died.
If anyone can tell me the name of the mill and exactly where it was I would be most grateful. A photo would be a bonus.
