Burnley’s Got Talent is a great event

I entered Bunley’s Got Talent both times in 2011 and 2012 and luckily got to the final each time!

I first entered in a duo with a friend on guitar and I sang but then my friend joined a band so I decided to try doing it solo, we both got to the final in the second year and my good friend who was the lead singer in Vienna Waiting won as they deserved to.

Now, I’m studying my first year at Manchester College doing musical theatre and am also set to play Mrs Harcourt in “Anything Goes” which is in on at the Pendle Hippodrome soon.

I still do plenty of singing around town. I sang at the Rock and Blues festival in May and also sang for Pendle Beer Festival a few weeks later. I’m always up to sing anywhere and gain experience as I am only 16. It’s a strange feeling knowing I was in the first Burnley’s Got Talent final when I was only 13! I am very much into my musical theatre like I always have been and will work hard so hopefully I could perhaps be in a professional show; but for now I am still hoping for more gigs and more experience around Burnley.

I enjoyed being in Burnley’s Got Talent so if anybody is thinking about doing it I say go for it, it gave me loads of confidence as I hadn’t really done a competition in Burnley before and the buzz you get when you’re performing is just spectacular!
