Back from Australia to watch the Clarets
He lived in St John’s Road, Burnley, until he emigrated to Australia with his family in 1965. Frank and his three daughters arrived in the UK for a visit on Christmas Day.
Sadly, Frank’s wife passed away earlier this year.
I was able to secure two tickets for the cup match against Spurs and Frank was really looking forward to the game.

Hide AdHe tells me the last time he was at Turf Moor you had to pay at the turnstyle and Harry Potts was manager. So, on Monday, January 5th, we were both cheering on the Clarets with me, a mere stripling at 76 and Frank sitting there reminiscing.
I advised him to pack his long johns as the weather in Burnley can be quite unpleasant at this time of year.
After 50 years Frank may have forgotten this.
