Timing of roadworks in Burnley defies all logic

Because he, or she, decreed “major road works resulting in long delays” began on the Gannow roundabout for two weeks from Monday – the very same day most schools re-opened after the Easter break. My drive into work was actually a real pleasure with no school traffic. That is all about to change, and how. Traffic volumes will return to their normal stress-inducing volumes, regardless of major roadworks. So why, oh why, has some idiot waited until the schools go back to impart mayhem on the busiest early-morning road junction in Burnley? It defies all logic!
