There’s more to breakfast TV than Susanna Reid’s legs
And his thoughts were surely confirmed the other day when he read about social media network Twitter being “awash” with critics complaining about the studio layout for ITV’s new breakfast news programme.
And the reason for their grumbles?
They could not see the show’s “best assets” – the legs of the new show’s presenter, Susanna Reid.
Heaven forbid!

Hide AdHave these people got nothing better to do than grumble about not being able to gawp at a 43-year-old woman’s shapely legs – and all this shortly after 6am!
Having watched Ms Reid on a regular basis in her previous incarnation as a BBC breakfast news presenter, Mr Pendle was far more interested in what she had to tell him about the news of the day than how much of her legs she was showing to the camera, however much of an asset to the show they might be – and more often than not the camera angle was too close in to see much of her legs any way.
After all, isn’t the point of a breakfast news programme to bring people up to date with overnight happenings at home and abroad, not for give them the chance to ogle at female presenters in short skirts?
Perhaps he is mistaken, and he will therefore limit himself to catching up on the news through Radio 5 Live’s news bulletins as he drives to work in future.
