Taking bull by horns in making £3m. cuts
News that Burnley Council is having a radical rethink on its structure will no doubt spread uncertainty throughout the corridors of our splendid Town Hall.
But what other choice do our elected representatives and council officers have?
Most of us have had to make adjustments in what we spend, whether it be in the workplace or at home.
To their credit those faced with a massive £3m. shortfall in funding have taken the bull by the horns and are seeking to preserve frontline services as a matter of priority.
We wish those who control the purse strings our best wishes for the unenviable task ahead.
