Remember it’s not all doom and gloom
In a world that seems to be dominated by conflict, bad news and negativity, it was refreshing to cast my eyes over our special Little Hospice Heroes coverage the other week.
The smiles on the faces of the fund-raisers, both young and old, reminded me there is still so much to celebrate in our area.
Hundreds of parents and children gave up their day to raise funds for Pendleside Hospice and the youngsters will hopefully have been introduced into a world of sacrifice and compassion for others.
I am sure this policy of catching them young will pay dividends for all concerned.
