Party politics toomuch to the fore

Burnley has made great strides in recent years and has earned a reputation for a town that pulls together with the common goal of building a better future for all residents, regardless of creed or political persuasion. But judging by the antics in the council chamber on Wednesday there is a real danger that the unity that has served us so well will be put on the back burner as thoughts drift ahead to the next General Election. Let’s hope that politicians of all parties do not get blinkered by an election that is still some time away.
