New rail station is very impressive

But on Saturday I had the good fortune to use the new station for the first time. And very impressive it is.

There is a modern, light feel to the building and the amount of car parking and one-way system made what used to be a chore, a pleasure to use.

Planners do not always get things right, but in this instance I take my hat off to those responsible.

First impressions count a lot and the new Manchester Road station is a massive improvement.

Central Station, well that’s a different story.
