Burnley’s transport system is in chaos

First we have the ridiculous hotch potch of roadworks and closures which make it virtually impossible to get out of town to the west.

And, to cap that off, came the news there is to be a further delay to the opening of Burnley’s long, long, long-awaited direct rail service to Manchester.

Whoever is in charge of our road and rail planning should be hauled over the coals or made to drive to the M65 via Gannow Top every teatime for a fortnight.

The word FARCE is applicable in both cases.
