Oaks Hotel joins Best Western group

A LANDMARK hotel has joined the global Best Western brand.

The Oaks Hotel in Colne Road, Reedley, is owned by Lavender Hotels which has just announced it has passed the stringent criteria to allow it to use the Best Western brand. Lavender Hotels operations director Mr Simon Doughty said the branding would boost the hotel’s profile nationally and hopefully bring more custom – and jobs.

He said: “Lavender Hotels will still run the hotel but this means the Oaks is now part of the worldwide Best Western brand.

“We hope to attract more corporate and leisure guests in the future and this will hopefully allow us to employ more staff. We currently have between 40 and 50 staff.

“Being part of Best Western gives us lots of extra benefits and we had to pass quite stringent criteria first.

“The hotel has had a £250,000 refurbishment to bedrooms, function rooms and public areas in preparation for this. We are delighted to be accepted.”
