Ninth Clitheroe Beer Festival coming soon

The event will be staged at the St Mary’s Centre in Church Street, Clitheroe, on Friday and Saturday, May 16-17th.

The theme of this year’s festival is natural beauty.

This is to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

And, as usual, the festival will be showcasing a great range of ales from around the country.

It will be jointly run by the St Mary’s Centre and the East Lancashire branch of 
CAMRA and organisers hope hundreds will attend the 
festival over the two days.

The two organisations have forged a strong partnership over the past few years and regard the beer festival as a major event on the calendar.

The festival will be open on Friday from 1 until 11 pm and on Saturday from noon until 11 pm.

There will be approximately 70 real ales and 20 ciders/perries plus bottled beers for visitors to try.

In addition to this, there will be a free soft drink for drivers as well as live music on both Friday and Saturday nights. Food will also be available.

Entrance is free to CAMRA
and NUS members while all other visitors will be charged £2 before 6 pm and £3 after 6 pm.

Last year the event was opened by actor Ricky Tomlinson.
