Pendle Dogs in Need is moving! The trailblazing local charity has a smart new office and reception centre on the border of Nelson and Colne and is celebrating the move with a coffee morning and afternoon on Saturday.

Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson is cutting the ribbon to the new “hub” at 11am and guests include Pendle’s Deputy Mayor, Rosemary Carroll, plus representatives of the council, police, RSPCA and local businesses.

But the real stars, as ever, are the dogs! Some of the charity’s four-legged favourites are attending the event. The new ‘hub’ is located at Boundary Buildings in Burnley Road, Colne.

“It’s lighter and brighter than the Leeds Road premises and more suited to the charity’s needs,” said PDIN co-founder Sharon Ashley. “We will be offering all the usual services at our new hub, including free microchipping on Saturday afternoons and a collection point for our auction items.”

The hub will be open on Mondays (10am to 12-30pm), Tuesdays (6pm to 8pm), Wednesdays and Saturday (1pm to 4pm).
