The initiative's message is simple: Focused on Relationships. Driven by Impact.

Business on Par, sponsored by Southerns Solicitors, held its first event recently, bringing together businesses from across Burnley and the wider Lancashire area for a morning of networking, relationship-building, and a little friendly competition on the driving range.

The new quarterly event aims to offer something different from traditional business networking, combining meaningful conversations with a relaxed and interactive experience.

Following an opportunity to meet and connect with other local businesses, attendees took to the driving range, providing a fun way to break the ice and continue conversations in a more informal setting.

Business on Par will take place quarterly, alternating between breakfast networking sessions and after-hours evening events. The format is designed to give local businesses flexibility in how they connect, while creating regular opportunities to build genuine relationships and explore potential collaborations.

Most importantly this is networking with a purpose. It offers a space to build genuine local connections while making a real difference in our community. Every ticket helps fund and support Advocacy Focus, ensuring they can continue providing vital support to people across Lancashire who need it most. It is an opportunity for businesses to thrive together while contributing to a lasting social impact.

Justine Forster, Advocacy Focus CEO, said "Charities can't do this alone, we need local businesses working alongside us to build a true community safety net. Business on Par will help us create the partnerships we need to raise vital funds and spread the word about advocacy. It takes a whole community to look after people who have no one else in their corner for major life decisions. By coming together, we are making sure that nobody in Lancashire has to face those moments alone."

The launch event is the first in what Advocacy Focus hopes will become a growing business community across Burnley and Lancashire.

At its heart, Business on Par is about building real relationships rather than just swapping business cards. It is a welcoming space to chat, share ideas, and find new opportunities to work together, all while supporting a vital local cause.

The next Business on Par event will take place on Wednesday, December 2, at Prairie Sports Village, with businesses invited to get involved and become part of the growing network.
