And the group sent their representative Samantha Worswick to BGH with a generously donated PlayStation for the children on the ward.

Samantha said: “We always like to make collections and do something for the local area.

“We’ve recently been collecting unwanted toys for the Burnley, Colne and Nelson areas.

“With it being around Christmas time, our visitors are even more generous than normal and when the PlayStation was donated we thought the best use for it would be the children at the hospital.”

The children’s Ward at BGH makes sure that all its young patients are happy and entertained by supplying toys for all ages.

“It’s always exciting to receive a donation and this one is really special as the children love to play on the console.”
