Nelson fire victim arrested hours before death
A man who died in a house fire in Nelson earlier this month had been arrested by police hours before, it was confirmed this week.
Bryan May (41) was found dead at his home in Princess Street in the early hours of Saturday, March 14th.
Police were reported to have been at Mr May’s home on the afternoon of the previous day and a spokesman said: “We can confirm a 41-year-old man from Nelson was arrested on March 13th. He had been bailed pending further inquiries.
“This matter has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission, as is routine in such cases.”
