Neighbour's fears over phone mast plan

Neighbours living near to a mobile phone mast say they will object to plans to replace it with a bigger one.

Vodafone and Telefonica have applied to replace the current 15m. column at Greenbrook Works, Lowerhouse Lane, with a 17.5m. column and six antennae.

But residents living nearby say the site is already too close to Lowerhouse Lodge.

One resident, who did not wish to be named, said: “I do not feel the site was suitable in the first place for a mast and this bigger one would have an even more adverse effect on my home.”

Consultation ends on April 10th.
