Neighbours call for fire brigade after hearing popping sounds in street
Concerned residents in Brierfield’s Mansfield Grove called out the fire brigade after hearing strange “popping’ sounds outside their properties.
Fire crews from Nelson discovered the noise was being caused by a faulty electrical underground cable.
North West Electricity were called out to isolate the cable at 8-15am yesterday morning.
