Mum (36) dies from swine flu
A 36-YEAR-OLD mum has become the first person to die from swine flu locally.
Colne woman Lindsay Goddard, of Langroyd Road, who worked in the pharmacy at the St Peter’s Centre, Burnley, leaves daughters Georgia, 17, Romy,12 and Mia, eight.
She was rushed to the the Royal Blackburn Hospital when she developed breathing difficulties but her condition deteriorated.
A funeral took place on Thursday to mark Lindsay’s death on December 19th, followed by a celebration of her life at The Queens Hotel, Colne.
