The woman in question has now been found following a police appeal.

Authorities had launched an appeal after Michaela Sykes (27) had gone missing and had not been seen since around 10.30pm on Wednesday, August 2nd at her address on Beech Street.

"Following our earlier appeal, Michaela, who was missing from Padiham, has been found safe and well," read a police statement. "Thanks for your help."
