Missing grandad (82) is found dead
A BURNLEY grandad who had been missing from home has been found dead.
Mr William Jones (82) was found close to a path near New Laithe Farm, Clow Bridge. A post-mortem examination will be carried out tomorrow to establish a cause of death but itis not thought to be suspicious.
Mr Jones, also known as Bill, left his home in Venice Avenue, Burnley, last Thursday lunchtime and had not been seen or heard from since.
Police launched a public appeal to try to trace him.
