Miss Lancashire Galaxy meets Mandy the pony

Kelly Sagar, Miss Lancashire Galaxy 2015/16, was guest of honour at HAPPA, in Briercliffe, where she was introduced to Mandy the pony who was rescued in October. She was severely malnourished, had a heavy worm-burden and lice infestation.

In desperate need of veterinary attention, the team at the centre set to work to give her a make-over.

Julie Rickwood-Gan, from HAPPA, said: “We know that Mandy will never win any beauty contests like Kelly has, but we hope that the two of them meeting will help us to spread the word about the care that Mandy needs.”
