Media hunt for missing vulnerable John

Friends and family launched a media hunt after a vulnerable man went missing from his home in Burnley.

John regularly takes part in the Danny Ings Disability Project associated with Burnley Football Club. He disappeared at around 2pm on Tuesday and was spotted at Skipton bus station later in the afternoon. The last time he was seen was as he boarded the 5.55pm bus from Keighley to Leeds.

At the time he was distinctly dressed, in a green kilt, grey short sleeved top, dark ankle socks and trainers.

His family, Rachael, Naomi and Mary Lucas are extremely worried, and say John’s disappearance is completely out of character. He has learning disabilities and is autistic. He has never been away from home for so long before, and he has neither money nor phone.

Police are also involved in the search, and anyone who can help with information is asked to call 101.

The football club has posted links with its Facebook and Twitter accounts, and has asked people to share them on their personal accounts to spread the word.
