Match raises £1,300 towards Clarets' memorial garden
A fund-raising football match for the Burnley Football Club Memorial Garden raised around £1,350.
The match, organised by Daryl Graham, was held at the Prairie and was between two of the security teams who work with the Clarets – G4s and STM. Around 200 people turned up and raised £350 with one of the sponsors B&M Engineering donating £1,000.
Daryl chose to fund-raise for the memorial garden because his friend Peter Briggs came up with the idea to build a place of remembrance at Turf Moor.
