M65 slip road closed after smash

The Junction 8 east bound entry slip road near Hapton was blocked after two vehicles, a white Toyota Van and a Volkswagan Polo, collided at the bottom of the junction near to the slip road.

Emergency services were called to the incident at 8-50am where the vehicles were removed by 9-35am. There are currently no reports of any significant injuries.

A spokesman for the police said: “The road was immediately closed because they vehicles blocked the road after the incident, but they have both since bee recovered. There’s no word as to when the road will open again.”
