Luxury watches stolen in Read burglary

Luxury watches worth £4,000, plus foreign currency to the value of £800, were stolen in a raid at a house in Read.

Police are appealing for information and urging householders to keep windows and doors locked at all times after burglars entered the rear of the property in Straits Lane by disabling the alarm.

Once inside, they made off with the two Omega watches – one worth £2,500, while another £1,500, foreign currency and the keys to an Aston Martin parked outside the house.
