Emergency services were called to the incident at around 4 am on Wednesday after the lorry, travelling from the direction of Clitheroe, overturned at the roundabout junction of the A59 and the A666 to Blackburn. The driver was initially trapped inside but was quickly released.

The lorry’s shed load of bricks led to the partial closure of the road in both directions, causing traffic delays.
