Langho man on ‘internet grooming’ charge

A 32 year old man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates after allegedly being “snared” by a journalist who has a reputation for exposing people involved in sexual grooming of children via the internet.

David Holt, of Whalley Old Road, Langho, was sent on bail to Preston Crown Court charged with arranging or facilitating an offence of sexual activity with a child. Conditions of bail include reporting to Clitheroe police station three times a week and not to possess or use any device capable of accessing the internet.

Tracey Yates (prosecuting) said journalist Stinson Hunter, who targets people involved in sexual grooming of children via the internet, had reported the matter to the police.
