JCB teen charged after motorcyclist death smash

A teenager has appeared in court charged with causing the death of a motorcyclist by driving a JCB digger dangerously.

Harry Shaw (19) of Blackburn Road, Simonstone, appeared at Burnley Magistrates’ Court in connection to the death of father-of-two Craig Foster (42).

Mr Foster was riding a Kawasaki ZX6R from Padiham to Clayton-le-Moors when he was involved in the collision on Blackburn Road, Simonstone, at around 4-30pm on Sunday, March 23rd, 2014.

Mr Foster was a well-knwon figure in the area and ran his own motor business in Hapton. He previously worked on his father’s butchers stall in Accrington.

Shaw was released on bail and has been committed to Burnley Crown Court to appear for a plea and case management hearing on Monday, March 30th.
