Inquest opened into tragic motorcyclist death

An inquest was opened and adjourned into the death of motorcyclist Simon Craig Foster (42), who died in Simonstone.

Mr Foster, a married man and self-employed vehicle restorer who lived in Elizabeth Street, Accrington, suffered multiple injuries in a collision with a tractor in Blackburn Road on Sunday.

Assistant Coroner Elaine Block was told that police investigations into the collision were continuing.
